Tell us about yourself and what you do.
My name is Renada, and I am fairly new to the art world. I’ve recently started dedicating more of my time to becoming better at my skill. I’ve always known how to draw but have only been painting for a little over 1 year.
What is your biggest obstacle as an artist? What is your biggest success?
My biggest obstacle as an artist is comparing my talents to other artists. I would do my absolute best and see someone else’s work and start to think my work isn’t good enough and no one would buy it.
On the other hand, my biggest success is every time I sell a piece of art. That reminds me that I’m an artist in my own right and I AM good enough.
What inspires your work?
My work is inspired by everyday life. There may be an idea that comes in my head after hearing a song or lyric, or even an occasion. I like to push myself to paint different things to learn what I am good at and where I may need more work.

Are there any specific artists that inspire you?
Adrienne Muse (@IAM.Muse) is an artist who I truly admire. She is also from Jacksonville, Florida and she is making strides in a way that I would one day like to do.
What advice would you give an aspiring artist?
My advice to other artists would be to believe in YOUR work and never compare yourself to others. There is a lane for each one of us. Also, have patience. Things may not take off as quickly as you would like or expect but use this time to become better and when it’s time to step up, you will be ready.
